
Gold prices in Pakistan reached a historic high on Tuesday, driven by rising international market trends. The price of gold per tola soared by Rs. 2,550, settling at Rs. 317,350 within a single day. This increase follows a notable surge on Monday, when gold per tola had already risen by Rs. 1,100, reaching Rs. 314,800.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold for 10 grams also saw a significant increase, climbing by Rs. 2,186 to a new price of Rs. 272,076.
The APGJSA indicated that global gold prices contributed to this rise, with the international rate hitting $3,022 per ounce (including a $20 premium), representing an increase of $25 for the day.
In addition to gold, silver prices experienced an upward trend as well, gaining Rs. 25 and closing at Rs. 3,555 per tola.
